(Border Patrol Rescues undocumented individuals)....Two separate rescues occurred over the weekend.

They resulted in 8 individuals being rescued in the Jacumba Wilderness region. Saturday two adult male Mexican Nationals were found near Interstate 8. The second rescue occurred Sunday, after Border Patrol agents were notified a group had become lost after crossing into the United States illegally. The group of six were found Sunday afternoon just 50 feet north of the border fence. The group consisted of five men and on female, all adult Mexican Nationals. All those rescued were medically evaluated and process in El Centro. So far this fiscal year, El Centro Border Patrol agents have rescued 331 individuals lost or in distress.
