(9/11 Remembered this Saturday)....Ceremonies and events planned for the anniversary.

Terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center occurred on September 11, 2001. Tributes will be set up in Yuma. Yuma Fire Department Station #2 on South Avenue A, 343 flags will be placed on the lawn, one flag for each of the 343 Firefighters that gave their lives in the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers, while attempting to rescue those injured and trapped. An additional 72 flags will be placed to honor the law enforcement personnel who lost their lives that day. In Imperial County, the annual stair climb will be held Saturday evening at the Fairgrounds, at the Grandstand area. Food vendors, entertainment and displays will also be a part of that event.
