Health officials say the best way to protect against serious illness from COVID 19 and the variants is t5o be vaccinated and wear a mask when out in public areas. Almost 238,000 vaccine doses have been administered in Imperial County. Community vaccine clinics will be held throughout the month of September at 2895 South 4th Street in El Centro. On Tuesday and Thursday the clinic will offer the Pfizer vaccine from 8:30 am to 12 noon and frrom 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and the Wednesday clinic will offer the Moderna vaccine from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The Vaccinations are free. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary.
