An Imperial County Strike Team has returned to the Valley.

A Strike Team made up of several Imperial Valley Fire Departments and the Yuma Fire Department has returned home. The Strike Team was mobilized on Monday , August 9, 2021 and was dispatched to the Monument Fire in northern California. Much of the Team's effort were in structure protection and fire line work. The Strike Team made it as far as Bakersfield Wednesday night and then finished the 800 mile road trip Thursday arriving back in the Imperial Valley early in the afternoon afternoon.
