A $2.5 million construction project has been awarded to construct improvements and rehabilitate portions of the Yuma International Airport.

The contract was awarded to Cemex Construction Materials of Yuma to rehabilitate several general aviation aircraft apron areas on the civilian side of the joint use airport. The construction project is expected to be completed in phases. The project is part of the Airport's Capitol Improvement Program and is funded by a federal grant.
