You knew that the great weekend weather was too good to last.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for the Imperial and Yuma Valleys. Drier conditions and increasing high pressure over the region will lead to gradual warming through mid week and then result in temperatures approaching 115 in the Imperial and Yuma Valleys Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures will then drop down to a near normal range of 108 to 110 for the weekend. There is a very slight chance of ( about 10% ) of thunderstorms during the weekend.
