Twenty pounds of methamphetamine was found hidden in the trunk of a car late last week.
A 2004 Mercedes approached the Highway 111 Border Patrol checkpoint and was referred to secondary inspection. A Border Patrol K-9 team alerted to the car and agents discovered a duffel bag loaded with 20 pounds of meth. The drugs have a street value of $55,000 dollars. The driver and a passenger were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
