The defense made a motion to allow them to review all police evidence against the defendant. The motion was approved, and proceeding were continued until August 19. Rodriguez is charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder in an incident reported in 2019 in Brawley. The Rodriguez hearings are being held in the El Centro Superior Court.
