(Hospitalized COVID patients)....The County Health Department says the number has decreased, just slightly.

There are currently 19 COVID positive patients hospitalized in Imperial County. That is down one from the previous report. There are still 7 COVID positive patients in Intensive care in the county. Health officials continue to stress the importance of being vaccinated against the virus. There have been 229,106 doses of the COVID vaccine administered in Imperial County. Vaccination Clinics continue at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Imperial. The clinics are scheduled for every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of August. They are open from 8:30 am to 12 noon and from 1pm to 4:30 pm. Walk ins are welcome. No appointments are needed. The vaccinations are free. They are also available at local pharmacies, private care givers and Clinicas de Salud.
