(Another Hay Fire)...This time it was on the truck.

The incident happened over the weekend. Saturday afternoon a big rig was heading South on Highway 115. As he drove, the driver noticed the hay bales he was hauling were on fire. He pulled the rig over between Taeker and Silliman Roads and called for help. The Brawley and County Fire Department responded, along with the California Highway Patrol. They arrived to find the truck in flames. The driver was shaken, but not injured. There were no other passengers in the truck. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Foul play is not suspected at this time. Cal Trans was called in to help clean up.
