The Imperial County Public Health Department reports another mosquito pool has tested positive for St. Louis Encephalitis.

Health officials say the new pool is located on Jasmine Street in Calexico. Early in June two pools in the El Centro and City of Imperial tested positive for SLE. 

Imperial County Health Officer Dr. Stephan Munday aid that with the discovery of this third pool it should serve as a reminder to remain vigilant to prevent mosquito bites because they transmit the disease. There is no vaccine tp prevent the disease.
