There's a new scam circulating.

An El Centro man reported that he received an email with the name of the president of a soccer league he's involved with. The email asked him to purchase 8 gift cards for the coaches in the league. The email was specific in requesting 3 iTunes gift cards and 5 Amazon gift cards , all in $100.00 denominations. The man was told to take pictures of the back of the gift cards and email them back to the email address. The scammer said that the gift cards were to be a surprise gift for the coaches. The man contacted the league president and found out the scheme was a scam.
