(COVID 19 cases increase)....This according to numbers provided by the County Public Health Department.

Officials say 43% of the active cases are not vaccinated residents. According to the latest numbers there are currently 185 active cases of COVID 19. Nine of those are hospitalized, 2 are in Intensive Care. According to the State Metrics for Imperial County, the positivity rate 7 day average is now at 5.6%.  The new cases per day per 100,000 population is now at 9.60. The total vaccine doses administered in Imperial County is now at 216,431. Officials continue to encourage the non vaccinated residents to get vaccinated. They say vaccinations are still the best defense against COVID 19.
