A traffic accident early Saturday morning resulted in major injuries to one person.

The accident was reported shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Highway 86 and Fredricks Road. According to initial reports the vehicle ran off the roadway and ended up 80 feet into a nearby field. The accident remains under investigation.
