Two minor earthquakes shook the Imperial Valley early Monday.

According to the United States Geological Service the first earthquake was recorded at 1:34 a.m. and was followed 10 minutes later by another small quake. Both temblors were magnitude 3.1 and centered about 8.5 miles East of El Centro. There are no reports of injury or damage from the minor earthquakes.
