The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. Accordi9ng to the new numbers, there are 106 active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County. That is about double the number from the previous report. Of those, 7 are hospitalized, with zero in Intensive Care. According to the State Mtrics for Imperial County, the positivity rate is at 2.6%. Health officials have said the majority of the active cases are from the Delta variant. They say most if not all of those active cases are people who have not received any dose of the vaccine available. The total number of vaccine doses in Imperial County are at 203,483.
