(State reporting an increase in active cases of COVID 19)....The state is reporting a significant increase of active cases of the virus.

Imperial County, so far, is not following that trend. According to numbers released by the County Public Health Department Thursday morning, active cases of COVID 19 have increased locally, but only by one. Of those, four are hospitalized, with one in Intensive Care. The latest positivity rate for Imperial County is at 2.1%. The total number of COVID 19 vaccine doses administered locally is now at 200,178. Health officials are emcouraging those who have not been vaccinated to do so, for themselves, their children and community.
