The National Weather Service says the coming weekend will be hot.

The NWS has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for the Imperial and Yuma Valleys on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures are forecast to reach 112 - 118 degrees with overnight low temperatures in the mid-80's to lower-90's. Forecasters say that a very strong area of high pressure is building over the Great Basin and that will push temperatures above normal levels for the desert southwest.
