(Colorado River).... Lake Mead water levels are getting lower every month.
This is due to the continued drought conditions. America's largest reservoir is on the brink of its first ever water shortage. Officials say Lake Mead is now at around 36% full, the lowest water level since the reservoir opened in the 1930's. Experts predict it will only get worse over the dry summer months. The result could be water shortages by the end of the year. The shortages will initially effect Nevada and Arizona, and continue through the priority list. Imperial County holds the highest priority.
