The Imperial County Fire Department responded to a hay stack fire Saturday morning.

The fire at State Route 111 and Worthington Road was reported early Saturday morning and resulted in requests from other fire departments eventually leading to a third alarm. The fire was isolated by removing other stacks from the nearby area. Fire crews are monitoring the fire that is expected to burn through the week.
