An early morning accident damaged a fence in El Centro.

The accident was reported shortly before 1:00 a.m. at Lincoln and 17th Streets in El Centro. A small car ran into a chain link fence. The driver of the car told police that he swerved to avoid a bicycle rider and hit the fence. The car suffered major front end damage in the accident but there were no injuries reported.
