Imperial County Fire Department responded to a structure fire shortly after 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

An abandoned house at Adams and La Brucherie , just outside the El Centro city limits , was reported fully engulfed in flames. A second alarm was issued and El Centro Fire , Holtville and Imperial Fire Departments responded to assist in battling the blaze. Traffic was detoured as firefighters had hose lines stretched across roadways. This structure has been burned several times recently. Three transients were seen leaving the property shortly before the fire was reported.
