(Two rescued,one did not make it).....It happened over the weekend.

Yuma County Sheriff's received a distress call. The caller said he and two others were stranded in the desert. Deputies, Border Patrol Agents and an Arizona National Guard Helicopter responded to the area. When they arrived they found two men and a 24 year iold woman. The woman was deceased. The men told Border Patrol agents they did not need medical assistance. The men said they had been abandoned by smugglers a few days earlier after the woman became ill. The men were taken into custody for processing. An autopsy will be performed to try and determined the cause of death for the woman.
