(CBP says there are restrictions on Coscorones)...They are popular on Easter.
Cosocorones are hollowed egg shell filled with confetti. Customs and Border Protection says this year each passenger in a vehicle will be allowed to cross 12 of the Cocorones across the border. The shells can be decorated, but they must be clean, with not egg residue. What seems silly is very serious. The rules are to help prevent further spread of Newcastle Disease and Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. Fresh eggs, raw chicken and live birds or poultry are prohibited from crossing the border into the United States.
