(Border Patrol makes arrest Tuesday night)....Agents found the man at around 9:24 pm.

The man had entered the US illegally. Border Patrol agents found him about a mile east of the Downtown Calexico Port. A records check revealed the man was a 44 year old Mexican National. It also revealed he was a member of the Sureno gang. Agents discovered the man was charged with felony carjacking out of Los Angeles in 1995 and had been sentenced to 4 years in prison. In 2005 he was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm in Bakersfield, and had been sentenced to 32 months in prison. He had been deported back to Mexico in 2017. The man was processed for illegally re-entering the US. He is being held in Federal Custody pending a hearing.
