(Sewer Pipeline Rehabilitation Project)...It was a four phase project.

The City of El Centro's Design and Installation of Energy Conservation and Operational Improvements Project consisted of 4 measures. The measures focused on protecting the City of El Centro's wastewater assets, implementing energy saving infrastructure for the wastewater aeration process, and replacing an aging sanitary sewer collection system trunk main. The City says with the 3rd measure completed, the 4th measure, Sewer Pipeline Rehabilitation Project, consists of the replacement of 1,261 feet of trunk main, 300 feet of sanitary sewer service laterals, and 10 sanitary sewer manholes along Imperial Avenue, between Brighton Avenue and Barbara Worth Drive. The work is being conducted between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, so as not to impede day time traffic. The project is expected to be completed in April.
