An El Centro man thought he was getting a good deal on a car for sale online.

Turns out that there was no deal. The man told police he was buying the car through ebay and was told to buy 4 prepaid cards totaling the $2,000 price of the car , photograph the cards and send them to the seller. Turns out that there was no car and the seller's email and phone number didn't work. According to the would be buyer , ebay has no information on the supposed seller either.
