A 23-year old man was charged with driving under the influence following an accident early Saturday morning.

The accident was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m Saturday near Euclid and Imperial in El Centro. One of the cars fled the scene but was located several minutes later several blocks away. One person was injured in the accident and the fence of a nearby mobile home park was damaged. The driver who fled the scene was cited for driving under the influence and reckless driving. The accident remains under investigation.
