Governor Gavin Newsom has appointed Silvia Paz to the Blue Ribbon Commission on Lithium Extraction.

Paz , of Thermal , has been Executive Director and Founder at Alianza Coachella Valley since 2019 and Director at Building Healthy Communities in Eastern Coachella Valley. The position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
