(California Mid-Winter Fair)....For the most part, the Fair has been canceled.
Animal judging, however, will go on. Entries should have already been submitted. Officials say they will follow the rules from 2020, with some exceptions. Animals allowed to show will be steers, feeder calf, swine, Goat, and sheep. All top weights on animals have been removed. 4H and FFA will show together. All animals will be classed by weights, no breeds classes. The show is terminal, no animals which show will be allowed to go back home, nor allowed to be sold to anyone other than the designated processor. Exhibitors will receive market price and the fair will conduct an online add-on process to allow for the community to cont6ribute to the exhibitor projects. It will be a dy show, no washing, clipping or grooming of animals will be permitted on premises. Show uniform will consist of blue jeans, closed toe shoes and polo type shirt, whites are not required. No showmanship. The fair will charge a 3% commission fee on total sales and add-ons for each animal.
