(Vaccines are now available for additional sectors)....Imperial County has entered Phase 1B, Tier 1.

Imperial County Health Officials say beginning this week, COVID 19 vaccines will be available to additional sectors in Phase 1B, Tier 1. This includes high-risk individuals working in education, childcare, emergency services, and food and agriculture. Public Health Officials are working directly with employers in these sectors to provide vaccination date and location information to those who qualify. Close to 2,000 doses of vaccines are scheduled to arrive this week to start vaccinating Phase 1B, Tier 1 sectors, including education and food and agriculture as soon as this Friday. Vaccination efforts for those 65 and older continues throughout the County as more private providers receive vaccine supplies. Local providers are expected to receive approximately 3.600 doses this week to vaccinate people 65 and older.
