A pair of pickups with Toy Hauler trailers yielded two dozen illegal aliens.

The vehicles were stopped at the Highway 86 checkpoint near Salton City shortly before Noon Sunday. The first truck was questioned by a Border Patrol agent and the driver said he was travelling with the truck and Toy Hauler trailer right behind him. A Border Patrol canine team alerted to the trailers and further inspection led to the discovery of 24 illegal aliens hidden in the trailers. One of the drivers also had cocaine for personal use in his possession as well as a legally registered handgun. The drivers ,  30- and 35-year old men , both U.S. citizens were arrested. The 24 illegal aliens , 22 men and 2 women , were sent back to Mexico.
