(I-8 closed for several hours)....It had been closed in both directions.

The Interstate was closed down overnight due to snow and ice on the roadway. Both the east and westbound lanes were closed between Ocotillo and Alpine. By 8:30 Tuesday morning the ice and snow had melted off enough to make the roadway safe and the Interstate was reopened to all traffic.
