The Friday COVID 19 update was issued by the County Public Health Department. According to the update, deaths attributed to the virus are now at 493, 7 more than what was reported Thursday. Active cases of COVID 19 are now at 1,257, down 14 from the previous numbers. There are currently 118 COVID 19 patients hospitalized in Imperial County, 4 less than what was reported Thursday. There is now 1 ICU bed available in the county. New cases per day per 100,000 population is now down to 73.65, as compared to 79.46 reported Thursday. The positivity rate has also decreased to 32.71 percent, compared to 35.99% previously reported.
