The rain has stopped , at least for a day or two.
Nearly an inch of rain washed over the Imperial Valley Wednesday causing roadway flooding and scattered power outages. Interstate 8 from Ocotillo to Alpine was closed to high profile vehicles for several hours. Ogilby Road was closed from Interstate 8 to Blythe due to flooding and debris in the roadway. Cole Road from Dogwood to Kloke Road , McCabe Road from Yourman to Bowker Road and Cuff Road from Beal to Coachella Canal were all closed due to roadway flooding. The National Weather Service says skies are clearing Thursday but another pair of of weather systems will move across the region bringing another round of wetter weather Saturday through Tuesday. Saturday and Monday appear to be the wettest days. Gusty winds and thunderstorms are possible as well. These new systems are not expected to be as wet as the previous storms.
