(Pick-up vs. pedestrian)...In happened at just after 6:00 Monday evening.

A pedestrian was crossing La Brucherie, near Main Street in El Centro. The pedestrian was struck by a large vehicle, described as a dully. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene. The County Coroner's Office said the victim had been identified, but information could not be released until after the man's family was notified. The El Centro Police Department is investigating the incident.
