(Previously deported gang member arrested)...It happened Sunday afternoon.

At just before 4:00 pm El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Calexico Station arrested a man who had entered the US illegally. The man was found about 3 miles east of the Calexico Port Of Entry, He was taken to an El Centro Rally Point for immigration and criminal history screening. During the records check it was determined the man was a 44 year old Honduran native. It was also determined the man was a member of the MS-13 Gang, with a prior conviction for re-entry after being previously removed from the Country. He also had various drug convictions out of Los Angeles. He had been ordered deported in October of last year. The man was placed in federal custody to await federal prosecution.
