(Ca Notify)...A Smart Phone tool designed to slow the spread of COVID 19.

Governor Gavin Newsom says it has been expanded statewide. The Governor says the new digital tool will officially launch December 10, allowing Apple and Google smart phone users to help slow the spread by opting to r4ecieve COVID 19 exposure alerts, letting them know when they have come in contact with someone who has tested positive. They say CA Notify is a completely private, anonymous and secure tool that does not collect location data from any device and never shares user identities. CA Notify was piloted with help from the University of California, San Diego and the University of California, San Francisco. Begtinning December 10th Californians will recieve notifications asking thm if they want to opt into the program. They say CA Notify is completely voluntary and free.
