(IID Board meets outdoors)....It was a special meeting Friday.

Even though the meeting was held outside, the District Board had to follow COVID 19 restrictions. The meeting was held at the Imperial Irrigation District Headquarters in Imperial. Attendance was restricted to the IID Board members, IID staf and those involved in the meeting. The Board recogtnized and honored outgoing Board members Bruce Kuhn, who has served the IID for the past 16 years, and Eric Ortega, who served on the Board for the past 4 years. The Directors also accepted the election results for JB Hamby, who was elected to Division 2 and Javier Gonzalez who was elected to Division 4. Hamby and Gonzalez were sworn into office at a ceremony hosted by thmselves at the County Courthouse in El Centro. At the IID meeting the Board adopted a resolution honoring Kay Day Pricola for her leadership and accomplishments at COLAB and the Imperial Valley Vegetable Growers Association. OUtgoing members of the Energy Consumer Advisory Committee were also presented certificates. They included Chad M. Cooper, Guillermo Hermosillo, Haydee Rodriguez, Phillip Bautista, Palmer Shorty Hickingbottom and Oscar Ortiz. The District was closed Monday to observe a floating holiday.
