The Imperial County Public Health Department has updated the COVID-19 number for Tuesday morning.

The number of deaths attributed to the virus has remained at 351 but the number of active cases in the county jumped from 677 on Monday to 746 on Tuesday. Local healthcare facilities report that there are 20 COVID-19 patients in ICU's which leaves the Valley short of ICU beds for other patients. The number of new cases per day per 100,000 population and the positivity rate remained substantially the same. Overall , since the county began keeping statistics , there have been more than 14,300 total positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in Imperial County.
