The Imperial County Registrar of Voters has updated the returns from Tuesday’s General Election.

The unofficial election results show no changes in the leaders from the last update released early Tuesday morning but some races tightened a bit. One of the closest races is for IID Director Division 4. Challenger Javier Gonzales leads incumbent Eric Ortega by just 14 votes. The El Centro City Council Race is also tight. Sylvia Marroquin and Martha Cardenas-Singh lead but for the third seat incumbent Efrain Silva leads another incumbent , Edgard Garcia , by just 98 votes. The Brawley Elementary School Board Cesar Guzman rails Esther Sanchez-Banda by just 24 votes for the third seat. Approximately 25% of the ballots mailed out have been counted.
