County Fire Chief Alfredo Estrada Jr said a Task Force was scheduled to leave Tuesday afternoon. They were heading to the Irvine area to assist in the Siverado Fire. The fire has burned over 12,000 acres. About 90,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate. The Task Force includes fire crews and equipment the County, Calipatria, Calexico, Holtville and Yuma Fire Departments. A Task Force is normally deployed for two weeks, or sooner if they are no longer needed. If they are needed longer, a fresh crew will be rotated in at the end of the two week period.
