Strong winds knocked down several trees and utility poles Sunday afternoon.

The most damaging caused the closure of Clark Road between Wahl and Willoughby Roads where 3 poles were tilted at about a 45 degree angles over the roadway. Imperial County Public Works Department shut down the roadway until Monday morning when crews could begin fixing the problem. A large tree was blown down at Forrester and Even Hewes Highway Sunday afternoon causing a short term blockage of the roadway.
