(Cocaine seized at Checkpoint)….A Black Mustang drove up to the Highway 86 Checkpoint recently.
A Border Patrol Canine detection team alerted to the vehicle, prompting agents to send the Mustang to the secondary inspection area. During the search, agents found a package in the engine compartment of the vehicle. The package tested positive for cocaine. The package weighed around 7 pounds and the cocaine was valued at around $74,500. The driver of the mustang, a 37 year old Legal Permanent Resident from Mexico, the vehicle and the cocaine were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
