(Golden Owl Award Finalists)...The Golden Owl Awards are hosted by Nationawide Insurance.

In Coordination with partners in 5 states, California, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Nationwide collected more than 1,300 niminastions from students, fellow teachers, parents and community members to identify teachers who go above and beyond in preparing students for successful careers in agriculture. The 2019-2020 Golden Owl Award finalists have been announced for the five participating states. Among them is Michael Campbell who teaches at Imperial High School. Each finalist recieved an individualized plaque and $500 to help further future educational efforts before being entered into a final selection stage for the chance to be crowned as their state's Ag Educator of the Year. The winner in each state will also recieve the coveted Golden Owl Award trophy and a $3,00 dollar check from Nationwide to help fund their school's agriculture program and future educational efforts.
