(Annette Buttner case modified, again)...A pre-trial hearing was held this week.

The Imperial County Board of Education member is charged with two counts of perjury, one count of filing a false declaration of candidacy and one count of grand theft. The hearing was held in the Imperial County Superior Court in El Centro. Buttner's newly appointed attorney notified the court of a potential time conflict that would prevent the case from moving on to trial until late January or early February 2021. The Judge agreed waive time through February 19. A readiness conference was set for February 1.
