(Murder Suspects appear in court)...Rosita Torres and Daniel Alexander Mungia appeared remotely.
Trial dates were to be scheduled this week. Instead it was agreed by all involved to an extension. The reason is to allow all sides revue evidence. Torres and Mungia are being charged in the 2019 murder of 30 year old Raul Esparza in El Centro. Attornies say there is over 1,000 pages of evidence gathered by the El Centro Police investigators in their year long investigation. Esparza's burned body was found in a trash can near the railroad tracks in El Centro in September 2019. The next court date was scheduled for October 28, in the Brawley Superior Court. Defense attorney's predict it could be several months before an actual trial begins.
