( Over 90 earthquakes)...They started at just after 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

The quakes have ranged from micro quakes to moderate. The strongest so far was a magnitude 5.1. Most all of the temblors have been about 2 miles from Westmorland. A few earthquakes have been reported near Brawley and Calipatria. Seismologists have said the swarm has not been near the San Andreas fault. They say swarms are not that unusual in Imperial County, but it always wise to be prepared. While there have been a lot of rattled nerves, no damage or injuries have been reported from the swarm. The seismologists say there is no way to predict how long the swarm will last.
