(Thursday morning seizure)...It was a narcotics seizure.

It happened at the Border Patrol Chgeckpoint on Highway 86. El Centro Sector Border Patrol Agents were working the checkpoint. At around 7:30 am a man drove up in a white Nissan. A Border Patrol Canine detection team alerted to the vehicle and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. In the secondary area, a second canine alrted to the vehicle. The search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of packages hidden in the firewall of the vehicle. The packages contained a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. The narcotics weighed almost 4 pounds with an estimatd value of $8,775. The driver of the vehicle, a US citizen, the vehicle and the meth were all turned over to the Border Patrol Suppression Team
