(County Task Force)…It has been refreshed.

The Task Force consisting of firefighters from Calexico, The County, El Centro, Holtville, NAF and Yuma Fire Departments was originally deployed to the El Dorado Fire near Yucaipa on September 5. They were then reassigned to the Creek Fire in Fresno County. Saturday, the original members of that Task Force returned home after a fresh crew rotated in. County Fire Chief Alfredo Estrada says the County still has an apparatus at the Yucaipa fire, with the original crew. At last report the Creek Fire had burned 280,425 acres in Fresno and Madera Counties. Cal Fire said Monday the fire was now 30 percent contained. Evacuations and Road closures remain in effect. The fire has damaged 71 structures and destroyed 855 others. There has been no report on injuries.
